The Art Gallery of Ontario is the main art gallery in the city of Toronto. It was founded in the early 1900s in the Grange area. A redesign by renown Canadian/Torontonian Frank Gehry was completed in 2008. The redesign cost $276M and increased the viewable art space by 47%.
The permanent collection includes work by the Group of Seven and Tom Thompson, pop works from the 1960s and the sculptures of Henry Moore. It is home to over 68K pieces of art.

Restaurant
The AGO is home to a critically acclaimed restaurant - Frank, named after the architect of the building's redesign - Frank Gehry. It is popular for workday lunches, dinner dates and weekend brunch. The contemporary menu utilizes local products. The chef is Anne Yarymowich.
