The Bay St. Hotel has a former hotel located on the southwest corner of Bay St. and Elm St. Rooms were advertised for as low as $49.99 per night. The discount hotel was popular with backpackers or budget traveller and was in close proximity to the Toronto Coach Terminal. The hotel was closed in late 2009. Trip Advisor ranked the hotel as the dirtiest hotel in Canada.
