Benihana is a Japanese steakhouse downtown Toronto. Benihana Restaurant was founded by Japanese-born entrepreneur Rocky H. Aoki. There are 80 Benihana restaurants in cities across the globe. It is located in the Fairmount Royal York hotel.

Food preparation
Instead of using conventional kitchens, Benihana's highly skilled chefs present and prepare all entrées at a 'hibachi' table (a flat 4' X 3' grill) where up to seven guests are seated. Teppan cooking is Benihana's specialty.
