Chinatown is an cultural enclave within Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has a large number of ethnic Chinese citizens and businesses. It extends outwards from the epicentre - Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue. Developed in the late 1800s, it's now one of the largest Cinatowns in North America. There are six other Chinatowns in Greater Greater toronto area - in the Markham, Scarborough, Mississauga and Gerrard St. East. (Gerrard Chinatown)
As of recently, other eastern Asian cultures have been moving into Chinatown. A large number of new immigrants live in the area.
