Church and Wellesley is the heart of Toronto's gay village. It is Toronto’s largest LGBT neighbourhood.
The Church Wellesley Village is destination known around the world for its electrifying street events, shops, bars and services but mostly for the many different types of people that attend it streets. It is also the centre of events during Pride Week.
Church Street and the area has been home to large number of the Toronto gay community for many decades.
