David A. Balfour Park - Toronto
From WikiTO - The Toronto Wiki
David A. Balfour Park is a park located in the Toronto area of Rosedale / Deer Park / Summerhill. It runs from the southern tip of Mount Pleasant Cemetery to Mount Pleasant Road just north of Roxborough Avenue. It has extensive trails and is in close proximity to some of the most expensive real estate in Canada. The park was named for an anti-communist Toronto city councillor and member of the Board of Control.
Runing through the middle of the park is Yellow Creek - the ravine at David A. Balfour Park. The southern end of the park has a mixture of maple and ash trees. The trees are home to many species of birds and small animals.
The upper trail on the west side is ideal for joggers and cyclists. It’s well maintained and offers handrails. 2 bridges also span the ravine along the park's trail system.
Some of the park's dirt paths are challenging for hikers and cyclists, there are many fallen trees.
