Leslie Street Spit is a park on the Toronto east waterfront.
aka Tommy Thompson Park, the Leslie Street Spit is popular with nature lovers. Birdwatching, hiking and cycling are popular pastimes.
It is current an urban wilderness area. It was created in the 1950s by construction landfill which juts into Lake Ontario, east of the Toronto Islands.
