Former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs
In 2004 Loblaws purchased the site from MLSE after a bidding war with Home Depot. It was believed that part of the sale agreement was that the building could not be used to host events that would compete with the venues owned/operated by MLSE. The building has sat empty since 2004
In Sept and October 2009, the venue was used to film the CBC reality TV series "Battle of the Blades".
In 2009, an announcement was made that the building would be redeveloped to be the future home of a flagship Loblaws store and a student recreation centre for Ryerson University
History
Officially opened on November 12, 1932.
Notable acts have played MLG including the Beatles.
