Pizza Pide is a Turkish pizza joint located on Gerrard St. in Toronto. It is at 949 Gerrard St. E. in Little India. The homemade pizza has cooks tossing dough, brushing it with egg. It is then sprinkled with sesame seeds and folded to create a stuffed pie - a turkish speciality.
The joint is popular with both Turkish and non Turkish patrons. he karis¸ik is the best-seller. There is also the traditional lahmacun - thin-crust dough with minced lamb, tomato and spices.
Seating for maybe 20 people, orders are made at the counter and pay when you leave. The entire menu is non-pork - even the salami is made from beef.
