The Royal Conservatory of Music Telus Centre open in September 2009 on the spot of the previous Royal Conservatory of Music Bloor St. headquarters location.
The new facility was designed by Marianne McKenna by leading the Toronto architectural firm Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg The reconstructed cost an estimated $110M Cdn.
The Koerner Hall concert facility is arguably the centrepiece of the Telus Centre. The mid size facility fills a much needed gap, as Toronto classical music fans have lacked a facility of this size
