The Power Plant is a former power generating station on the Toronto waterfront (1927-1980). In 1987 the building was restored and converted into an art gallery. The programming includes contemporary art. The building's tall ceilings allow for massive exhibits. The gallery as often been compared to London's Tate Modern.
Notable works are by famed Toronto architect Frank Gehry.
