Underpass Park

Underpass park is a future park scheduled to open in 2011. It is located under a Gardiner Expressway underpass in the east end of downtown Toronto. This is first park of its kind to be built in Canada.
Location
Located under the Eastern Ave and Richmond/Adelaide overpassess between Cherry St. and Bayview.
The 1.05 hecture park is build built in conjunction with West Don Lands.
Features
Features will include basketball courts, climbing structures, community gardens and other public space.
The park will be built with reclaimed granite and recycled rubber materials. 50 trees will also be planted.
