Croft Street is a Laneway in downtown Toronto. It is located near Spadina and College. It is truly one of Toronto’s coolest laneways.
Originally called Ulster Ave., the laneway was renamed in 1908 after John Croft – the sole victim of the Great Toronto fire of April 19, 1904
The Laneway is significant because of the city of Toronto’s willingness to give it a name and thus assign addresses. The laneway is know for its laneway housing.
