Your credit report and score reflects your past and present use of credit cards and loans. Sometimes, mobile phone and internet accounts may be included, even though they are not credit accounts.
Canadians are entitled to 1 free credit reports per year.
TransUnion Canada now makes it easy to obtain a credit report. It is now Free for Canadians to access their credit reports online (they used to charge a fee). (https://www.transunion.ca/
Equifax allows you to obtain your credit report for free by submitting a form to them by fax or mail: http://www.equifax.com/
It is best to check your credit report annually to ensure that there are no errors in the report.
