Sheltered Bike Racks in Downtown Toronto
Riding your bike and sitting on a wet seat after leaving your bike outside in a rain storm is never pleasant or enjoyable. Here is a compilation of some sheltered bike parking areas around Toronto’s Financial District that can help keep your bike dry.
West Side of Bay Street at Albert St. (Nathan Phillips Square)
The sheltered bike racks are behind the flags under the overhead walk way on Nathan Phillips Square.
South side of Adelaid Ave. East of York Street
The sheltered bike rack is located at the entrance way to the North Ridge Insurance Building. This location provides access to First Canadian Place via the Path System.
East Side of Bay St. North of King
The sheltered rack faces Bay St. at the entrance of First Canadian Place (BMO) Building. Look for the Harry Rosen display case.
South Side of King, East of York.
The rack is located on the ground floor of the TD North Tower, accessible off King St. Better security at this location (cameras everywhere)
West Side of St. George St., South of Harbord
The sheltered bike racks are is located outside Sidney Smith Building at the University of Toronto.
East Side of Elizabeth St. North of Gerrard St.
This is a smaller sheltered rack, located outside a multi-storey car park entrance (201 Elizabeth) in the hospital district.
West Side of Elizabeth Street at Hangerman
This is also a smaller sheltered rack just behind City Hall.
North Side of Wellington West of Yonge
This is located near 18 wellington on the North Side. Reasonable number of spaces available.
Lakeshore Blvd. at York St. (North East Corner)
This rack is located on the North East corner in front of the TD bank.
St. Andrew St. and Spadina (Chinatown/Kensington Market)
The sheltered bike racks are located INSIDE the Green-P municipal lot. The racks are located immediately on the left hand side inside the driveway labeled “No Entry”.
